For this poster, I used contour lines to make 3D letter forms in order to reference a couple kinds of design. My goal was to make the viewer think of blueprints, or any kind of preliminary drawing to sculpture, architecture, or digital wire frame 3D models. Along with the dimensional letter forms, I used a paper texture with a blue tint in order to accomplish this.

This poster needed more consistent spacing between the triangles, and the "pieces" needed to be moved around and repositioned so the bottom of the composition is just as interesting as the top, keeping your eye moving around.

Gig Poster - The Rapture .edited.

Since my intentions weren't perceived the way I wanted them to, I came up with this design instead.

With this design, I played off of "The Rapture" looking/sounding like "The Raptor" I still stuck with colors that vibrate, and made the bars look more like an equalizer.

The Rapture is a dance punk band, and I tried to mimic the feel of the music by choosing colors that would vibrate, and making some reference to an equilizer. The feedback that I was given on my design was that it didn't say much about the band and that it was too basic.
