Seville Quarter Revision

This is the final draft I came up with for the seville quarter poster. I tried to make the text look drawn instead of just floating above the image.

Propaganda Research

Transfer:
Trying to get the viewer to "pick a side"
Testimonial:
Using a person (often famous) to endorse a product or claim that the product does what it claims.
Rewards:
Promising rewards to the client. In this ad campaign, the promise of smelling good and attracting the ladies.
Repitition:
Using an element, such as a word or icon, over and over to push a point.
Plain Folks:
Causing the viewer to identify with the brand by claiming to be "just like them."
Name-Calling:
Using words to give a negative impression of another person or product.

Logical Fallacies:
Making claims that don't logically make sense, such as drinking coffee to make your life better.
Imagery:
Relying on an image to evoke an emotion or tone.
Glittering Generalities:
Using words that sound good, but don't really mean anything.
Emotional:
Relying on feeling based imagery and/or text to cause the viewer to act on feeling.
Card Stacking:
Comparing a company with a competitor and stating why they are better. The ad below compares macs to pc and makes macs look more hip/trendy/efficient among other things.
Bandwagon:
Be a part of the crowd. Don't get left out.

Seville Quarter - with revisions

Trying to make the text work in this design is not going as well as I would like it to.

The typeface didn't really agree with the rest of the design, so I chose to use all caps and a different typeface.

AIGA Revision

I made the letters smaller since they were getting too close to the edges of the page, and I treated the letters on the bottom the same way I did the top, in order to take up space on the bottom and make the information feel like part of the design instead of just floating there.
